Private Residence
Marshfield, Missouri

BWCO designed this new home on a working cattle farm in the location where the owner had originally built his first tree house.  The owners wanted to achieve the feel of an early 1900's farm house that had been remodeled and added onto over time - something that would feel as if it had always been part of the farm.  Reclaimed materials included hardwood flooring from old tobacco barns and 100+ year old bricks from a local university.  The stone used on the house was harvested from the farm.

BWCO has provided design services to ASA for both interior and exterior renovations to the existing sorority house.  We worked with ASA to upgrade the exterior construction and materials to give the building a fresh new look while improving thermal performance, eliminating prior water infiltration issues, and reducing the need for future maintenance and upkeep.  We also designed the interior restroom renovations with a new layout, fixtures, and materials to provide modern facilities with improved functionality that also offer more privacy and space.

This country residence combines farmhouse charm with craftsman style details.  The rough hewn timbers provide a warm contrast to light and airy interior elements.

This house sits above the rolling land of an Ozarks family farm with a sprawling view down into a valley below.  The exterior has the classic appeal of a farmhouse, while the interior evokes a lodge-like atmosphere with exposed columns and beams and soaring ceilings.  The columns and beams were milled from timber harvested from the farm.
